Song Descriptions:
*Dragon By The Road is a fictional
story in song about a very old Oak
tree standing alongside the road
in Central California. It is a landmark
and local people have watched this tree
deteriorate over the years. It is often
referred to as the Dragon Tree.
*Brothers In Time is a song about two
real trees: a Black Oak and an Incense
Cedar growing next to each other in the
California Sierra Nevada Mountains.
These trees are attached by the oak limb
growing into the cedar.
*Window of Time is a ballad of a time at the start
of the logging mill and its existence in the little
town of North Fork California. A vital function of
the mill was to burn the debris remaining from
cutting and milling the logs, in the "Burner". |
